Learning and living Europe! Celebrating 30 years of the Jean Monnet Activities

20 current CIFE students - 16 from the Master in European Integration and Global Studies and 4 from the Executive Master in EU Studies - had the opportunity to participate in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the "Jean Monnet Activities", promoting excellence in EU studies as part of the Erasmus+ programme. CIFE was also represented by Bruno Boissière, Director of our Brussels Office, and Ingrid Shikova, Professor at the Sofia University and member of the CIFE Scientific Council.

On the theme "Why study the European Union today?", 150 participants discussed the importance of EU studies in 2019, innovative practices and the future of the Jean Monnet Activities, with speeches by Tibor Navracsics and Themis Christophidou, respectively European Commissioner and Director General for Education, Youth, Culture and Sport at the European Commission, as well as Jacqueline Lastenouse, initiator of the Jean Monnet Actions in 1989.
Participating in the plenary session, two CIFE students enthusiastically shared their experience about studying at CIFE and learning and living in three different cities throughout the year.
